Here’s another shot from my recent trip to Ladakh in Northern India. Some of the extremely high mountain passes that we went over as we travelled from Leh to Manali were more than a little nerve racking! Apart from the fact the roads could barely be called roads for most of the time (think dirt tracks) they were not always wide enough for two vehicles to pass each other. When the vehicle you are trying to pass is either a large truck or oil tanker, you’re on the outside of the road, and there’s a drop of several thousand feet just a couple of feet away from your jeep’s wheels, you can understand why it’s perhaps not the best place for an acrophobic!
I’m still processing my images and will get a full gallery up soon, however I’ll continue to post the odd image here and of course there’s some more images over on Flickr.
