Everyone seems to be talking about shooting star trails (no, not shooting stars, but shooting, star trails). Digital Photography School has some tips and provides 4 steps to creating great star shots using stacking software.

Various Flickr groups I’m in have also been discussing this too, and as the nights are getting dark nice and early, and cold winter nights usually mean less clouds, it seems a great idea to try.
