I stumbled upon this great collection of night shots by a photographer called Troy Paiva today.
Troy is a commercial artist living in the San Francisco Bay Area. For his entire adult life he has been an abandonment explorer and back-roads wanderer, especially at night. Sneaking around in junkyards and dead roadside towns in the middle of the night. He’s combined that with very accomplished night photography, using flashes and gels to create some amazing images of abandoned cars and trailers.
The site isn’t new, and mentions that ” Many of the places and objects in [the] photos are already gone; bulldozed, burned down, subdivided, melted for scrap or just vanished under the shifting desert sand.” However the site is new to me, and an excellent example of the genre so I thought I’d post here for others to enjoy.
